Having second thoughts it does look like Wendt was downed on the 16th. One hopes someone can find out who had the combat. One of the more frustrating things to do is looking throught RFC communques 1915-1916 and compare them with the casualties in CGAS. On days where the RFC had many combats and claims in CGAS there are sometimes no casualties at all. When CGAS mentions a casualty in the British sector there is sometimes no mention of any combats in the "Comic cuts", CONFUSED!? To make things worse it seems too many accounts of the 1915-16 airwar have a lot on German claims but little or nothing on German losses.
