Maurice Farman and BE2

Hi Irene,

There is a Maurice Farman here in Australia, and there are probably others still in existence around the world. It is an original and doesn't fly of course, but I think it's fantastic that it still exists.

There are several BE2's still in existence, and I think the Vintage Aviator has restored a BE2 to flying condition, although I am sure that it is a later model, one that I was not familiar with until I heard about it through their restoration efforts.

Regards,

David.

Hi Irene

There's a BE2c at the Imperial War Museum (Lambeth) - you can see it online at Imperial War Museum

and apparently a BE2e exists in New Zealand.

I've no idea if there any preserved or replica Farmans.
