Hi Russ
Hadn't spotted that the quote was yours. Back in the 80s, one T B Graves advertised his services in Cross and Cockade, saying he could supply combat reports for several high-scoring pilots. I assumed he meant copies, paid my money and got photocopies of a few of Mannock's CRs that I didn't have; as it turned out, the originals probably hadn't been available at the PRO because Graves had them on "long-term loan"!
In March 1991, Graves was found guilty of having stolen over 15,000 WW1 and WW2 items from the PRO over a six-year period.
