Help re a French pilot

I have a Croix de Guerre with 7 palms attributed to "S' Lieutenant A.E.
Laperouje (?)", Spa 21 (or 71)." Handwriting is not clear and cannot find a reference to him in any SPAD units. Any one have additional information? Thanks!

Hi,

Any chance to see a picture of the citation?

The closest name I can find is "Augustin Vincent Pérouse" in Les personnels de l'aéronautique militaire 1914-1918.
Born in 16 December 1885, he was an engineer and was awarded the Croix de Guerre.

Many thanks, but the attribution is a pilot.

He graduated (Ecole des Mines) and worked as an engineer prior to the war.
If I correctly understand the file, he became an observer on the 15th of August 1916.
He ended the war with the rank of Capitaine.

Bonjour,

There is a Henri Laperouze, born on October 3, 1896, who had his military brevet in Pau in April 28, 1917.

He died in a plane accident on June 7, 1917, at the Pau military hospital - maybe during training. Too short to receive such a croix de guerre...

Best regards,
DTB
