Police Air Squadrons in 1919 Germany

Technically, this question falls outside the usual time limits of this site, but I'm going to post it anyway.

During the period between the Armistice in 1918 and about 1921 several police units were permitted to maintain "air arms" to control the revolution in Germany. They were staffed by former military pilots and allowed Germany to maintain some hardware in the air. They were called variously Luftpolizeiabteilungen, Luft-Polizei-Abteilungen, or Luft Polizei Abteilungen (you get the idea). Apparently, there were at least seven cities/regions that had LPAs. I know of Breslau, Gotha, Koenigsberg, Kiel and Bavaria (!). Does anyone know of any others, such as in Thorn/Torun, Lyck (East Prussia), or other hotspots?
Thanks,
Karl

Interesting post.
Always wanted to learn more about this interesting time.

Junkers D1 in action against the Bolsheviks in 1919.
Gotthard Sachsenberg and Theo Osterkamp formed a Freikorps based on the old Feldjastas to assist the new Baltic republics in their battle against the Bolsheviks in 1919.

Not sure if that Freikorps came out of the Police units.

Thanks to Larry D over at Axis History Forum, I discovered a great source, Die Geschichte der Luftpolizei, by Franz Schilling and Helmut Rettinghaus (1994). Lots of info and documents, even about this early period, although most of it is post 1933.
