Help needed identifying Pegoud medals Part II

This second image was taken a year later, late July-early August 1915 after Pegoud became an officer. There appears to be four medals on his tunic, one of them being the Medialle Militaire. I believe another one is a Roumainian Service Cross?

Thanks for the help,

Bulldog90

Hi Bulldog,
The Médaille Militaire, which Pégoud was awarded March 5, 1915 is the one on the left. Next is the Croix de Guerre with Palm. The third is probably the cross you're looking for and the medal on the far right, with the bar on the ribbon, I haven't looked at yet.

*edit* Looking at the set enlarged, the Croix de Guerre with Palm might be with two Palms..

Cheers

The third award looks like it's the Romanian Order of the Crown Civil Award. Not called a cross where I found it.

Left to right:
Romania:- Order of the Crown Civil Award.
Romania:- Cross of War 1916 -1918 with Battle-bars, DUNAREA, CARPATI, JIU, 1919.
Romania:- Officers 25 years Service Medal.

Cheers

far right... Commemorative Medal of Morocco with Campaign Bar /Médaille commémorative du Maroc (1909)

In 1908, at age 18, Adolphe Pégoud joined the cavalry to participate in the Moroccan Campaign with the 5th African chasseurs regiment.

Thanks a lot Rod. I learned that Pegoud contracted Malaria (Ague, they called it then) while with the 5th Chasseurs and spent less than eight months in North Africa before being evacuated home in the Spring of 1908. But he was proud of his service in Morocco and often wore his campaign medal.

I really like your site btw. I have some good shots of the reinforced cabane they put on the Bleriot XI for the Summer of 1913 tests they did with the aircraft suspended from a cable if you could use them.

Regards,

Bulldog90
