Leutnant Güttler of Jasta 13

I was surprised to find different reasons given for Lt. Güttler´s death on 20 February 1918 in two Grub Street books. What is correct?

Did he die as a passenger in a twoseater piloted by Vfw. Hiob? Or did Hiob collide with Güttler in air combat this date?

Dr. Gustav Bock's data reads, "Ltn. Wolfgang Güttler - 20.2.18 kurz nach dem Start auf einen Doppelsitzer, Flugzeugführer Vfw. Hiob, etwa 2 km südöstlich Reneuil-Ferme tödlich abgestürzt."

Ed Ferko's data reads, "Lt. Wolfgang Güttler, C.O. and Vzfw. Paul Hiob killed when their Halb CL.II crashed after take-off due to unknown causes."

Note that Ferko had the line "collided in combat", and that this was crossed out.

So, sounds like he was the passenger in a CL.II. (Sorry about that, you can never trust these Grub Street authors ) R.
