Hi,

Flieger Paul Dreier and Flieger Georg Meyer both seem to have died on the 6th of August 1917 at Aertrycke. Dreier was born at Dömitz 14th March 1895 and Meyer at Eberstadt 17th May1896
Were they one crew ? Or did they die in a bombardment of the airfield. I found no such thing on that day untill now.

Thanks and best from Regulus

Hi

Dreier and Meyer were both members of Saxon FAA 231 when they accidently chrashed during a test-flight from a height of 50 meter.
They died of the wounds.

Hi Gunnar,

Already suspected it had to do with one of the units stationed over there, and it is indeed the case ! Great, already one of my remaining puzzle pieces that was solved ! Thanks !

Hi Rick,

Unfortunately, I have no idea at all, perhaps Gunnar knows more ?
