I am delighted to have found your website. My adopted father John Wentworth was a pilot in the 94th and designed the "hat in the ring" insignia.

Thank you, Rick...I seem to recall that Mr. Woolley contacted my mother for information many years ago when he was doing research for the book. My father had died back in 1958. I've never read The Hat in the Ring Gang, and assume it must be out of print by now. Any idea how I might obtain a copy? Cheers...Eric

Actually, TH in the RG just came out very recently 2001. It is published by Schiffer. Either contact them, or look around on book sellers web site, i.e. Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc. R.
