I put this thread in WW1 Aircraft yesterday but as an afterthought have also placed it here in the Pioneer Aviation heading.
Were any Bleriots fitted with the Anzani 45hp engine? Were any Bleriot's used by the USAS in Europe? I think some were used as 'rouleurs' for ground training?
For what it's worth, the Bleriot at the RAF Museum at Hendon has a 6 cylinder Anzani in it. I don't know what the horsepower rating on it would be, though.
the Hendon Bleriot is the only original Bleriot I know with a 6 cylinder Anzani,H. Furrer has a replica with a original 6 cy.Anzani. the 3 cylinder has not enough power for the Bleriot, but the 6 cy. the 6 cy. is a very nice engine, 1911 90mm piston
