Hayden-Sands update

Hi all,

This thread is now closed so I though i would open a new one with a tiny scrap of new information.
Here is the old thread: Hayden-Sands USA

I have found a website listing a Henry Hayden Sands.
Could this be the same guy? Date of birth is in the correct bracket for this man.

Jempie - can you tell me how you found this gentlemans address in 1910?
Thanks in advance
Matt.

SANDS, Hayden

Hi!

Only what I wrote on that old thread :

I have the Aéro-Club de France "Annuaire 1910"
(Yearbook of the French Aéro-Club 1910)

There is in there a memberslist with the year they joined the Aé-C-F.!
Ypou could be member while (still) not being a pilot , you had supporting members, donators etc...but to become a pilot you needed first to join an Aéro-Club in first instance and than you could go for getting a flight license.

However into this "Yearbook" at the moment it was printed , he was still not licensed pilot! But that "Swallow" under the name means he was property holder of a plane of his own!

And in general their official address or eventually provisory address (f.e.in France or elswhere than,by times a hoteladdress) was indicated!
Lets see it as contact address for their mail! In general the home address it was for sure! But not always!

But it's the single trace I have about him!
Perhaps the Aé.C.F.(FAI) in Paris might have his date of birth and such ?
I don't know!

VBR
