where is the oil tank on the channel crossing Bleriot xI

Hi
I think I have worked out where the petrol tank goes but have not been able to find any drawings or info on where the oil tank is on Bleriots channel crossing XI. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Hi Andrew,

I'm not completely sure if the Channel crosser had the exact same configuration but our replica Bleriot has a combined fuel/oil tank. It's a grenade shaped brass construction front part being the oil and back part being the fuel tank. At the moment this is the only photo I can show you.

If you like to see more let me know and I'll try to get some better photos for you.

Andrew,

Here are some more photos I found on the net showing the Bleriot crossing the Channel and after it's landed in England. Unfortunately they don't show the tank. But they do show the float being installed after the cockpit.

I hope these are helpful to you.

Thumbs up Wow! That's pretty!

Makhpiyaluta,
What a gorgeous photo of your Bleriot cockpit! How near to completion are you with it? Will someone be aviating it across the Channel? Love the engine turned metal! Thanks also for linking the b & w Bleriot photos.

Hi Cadet leader,

Check the link to our website and you'll find more photos of our Bleriot.
We intend to fly it across the Channel in 2009
Here a photo of it flying

It's a thing of beauty!

What an exciting goal! Who gets to be Louis?

Upon a closer look of that interior photo, I note what appears to be a GPS unit??
