Elly Beinhorn's dead

I didnt know where to put it but its for sure sad news. One of Germanys most famous woman flyiers, aviatrix and aviation pioneers of all time, Elly Beinhorn passed away on November 28 2007 aged 100 years. At last she lived in an old people's home in Ottobrunn near Munich. In the 1930s she got famous for her record flights:

Code:
    * 1931 Solo flight over 7000 km to Afrika
    * 1932 Circumnaviagion of the World by airplane
    * 1933 Transafrica flight
    * 1934 Record Flight: Circumnavigation of the world in solo flight
    * 1935 Record Flight: Two continents in 24 hours
    * 1936 Record Flight : Three continents in 24 hours
Aviation pioneer Elly Beinhorn died at Flightstory.net - Aviation Blog

Elly Beinhorn -Rosemeyer

An absolutely fascinating person! Don't forget her whirlwind courtship and marriage to the immortal Bernd Rosemeyer,one of the grearest Grand Prix drivers of all time and the only person to master the phenomenal Type C
Auto-Union race car.
Her story is well told in her book,"Rosemeyer!"if one can find a copy,its truly
fascinating.
Best Regards,
Mike
