On the picture with the Dorner Eindecker is the Schultze-Herfort Eindecker, principally based on the Blériot design, but with a lot of (extra) developments. The machine was built by the Deutsche Flugmaschinenbau-Gesellschaft in Berlin of which Schultze-Herfort was the chief designer of the firm.

This is their first machine, powered by a 50 hp NAG engine. Adolf Behrend had Pilotenschein No.7 (a very early Alten Adler !) and he won on April 28, 1910 the 2nd Lanzpreis der Lüfte. The machine was even demonstreted in Brasilia by Heinrich Oelerich.

The other 3 machines built by this firm may possibly come in one of the coming Challenges

Cheers

Kees
