The lettering is when you take it this way, what seems to be most likely if the center letter is a "N".

But what if it was to read from behind, what would be in the most cases. Then you have to mirror it and you will find more questions of possible letters than before.


I tried either possibilities with a few translating machines and got no match with a single word combined out of the letters assumed.

Sure I have seen pictures of machines with letters (names of pilots under the wings etc.) which follow that order, no mirroring there. When the machine flies right in the direction of the public names / letters can be easily read.

I don't think we will get much information out of the letters on the tail though
