Dogtail2,

The ammo box is looking good. Have you done sheet metal work before?

If it matters to you, I believe that the ammo belts used in German aircraft were the narrower ones with only two rivets.

Trying to convince my wife that the new addition to one of our walls is actually art....She's very supportive of my build but I don't think she's buying it !!

Hi Steve

No, I have not done sheet metal work before this project. I dont have a sheet metal folder so all the folds I did by clamping the sheet between two bits of aluminium angle on the edge of a table and knocking over with a plastic mallet.

I know about the two rivet ammo belt, but have not been able to find any.

Wings are coming along Andy! Didn't realize you were already working on your spars.

I made the brackets and clips for the ammo box, and test fitted to the aircraft.

Pete,

Thank you so much for posting these great photos of your latest work- these details are great to see. Pretty soon you're going to run out of stuff to work on and you'll only be left with a plane to fly!

Keep on keepin' on!

Thanks Jim !

I hope the photos are useful for those following. I spend ages studying others build photos and photos of the original to clue me in.
Still plenty of stuff to do. Got to make a decision on the engine soon.

Pete's engine

Pete,

I know you were/are very interested in the Rotec 150hp radial. If you don't go with that, what others are you considering?
