Dayton Fly-In

The Dawn Patrol Rendezvous World War I Fly-In at Dayton's Wright Patterson AFB is going to be held on Sept. 30 - Oct. 2. This event is held every other year. In 2003 there were several DR-1s in attendance - both flying and static. For more information visit the museums web site at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/ac/pg000501.htm.

The Great War Aeroplane Association's web site www.gwaero.org will have more information soon.

Wouldn't it be great if all of us could meet there and share face to face what we are doing, pictures, and suggestions.

Gear you need

Does anyone want, and are you ready to order, ferrules, turnbuckles or hinges?

Maxim08,

Is this what you are interested in? Specifically and off-topic for this forum, this is for a D-VII, but you can use your imagination and translate for a DR-1. the brace wire is 3 mm with 2mm ferrules. this is for inside the wing of the D-VII.

Tailwheel Assembly

Does anyone have a source for the tail spring and rudder arm? So far i am not having much luck finding the parts listed on the prints.

Rex,
The last quote I received from Karen Scobie at Wick's contains these listings :

MT-TWA 6" TAILWHEEL ASSY 1.0000 EA 149.90000 0.000 149.90

TWS-2151 TAILWHEEL SPRING 1.0000 EA 29.97000 0.000 29.97

Maybe this will help a little - It's late and I didn't see the rudder arm during my quick glance but if you have any questions I'm sure she can point you in the right direction !
