Corrosion under bracing wires

Question for you gentlemen on corrosion. Considering that these aircraft were not expected to last very long, I am sure that little thought was necessary at potential problem areas. Since we builders would like to get many years service, the corrosion issue is much more important. I am wondering what the members experience has been concerning the area right where the wire bracing passes around the steel tube loops in the fuselage. Seems to me that the wire would abrade through any coating pretty quick and set up a corrosion area that would be hard to detect. Anyone use an additional protection??

Worldcruiser,
Attached is an image from inside the rear fuselage of the D VII in Knowlton Quebec.
Outside of some fabric repairs in the early 1960s, nothing has been changed since circa 1921 when it was put on display. Not a great photo, but interesting!
Additionally, the D VII at the Great War Flying Museum in Brampton Ontario has been flying every year since 1978 with no known corrosion issues.
Regards,
Maxim08

thank you for the information. I guess that I'll do my best at proper priming and painting and not worry too much.
