I agree Achim. If it was work then why do the volunteers show up again and again doing all kinds of things for no pay at all? Well, maybe there's a free beer now and then but not even much of that.

Wolfenbill,
Your "Work, work, work." looks more like "Fun, fun, fun!" to me.
Seriously, though, I can appreciate all the man-hours of careful craftsmanship, and you're group is certainly producing a striking looking DR.I.

Unusually nice weather for this time of year.
In central Texas progress is mostly a factor of temperture.

Funny... I can stick my (RC) DR1 on it's nose all by myself.
Great looking plane!

Thanks Mike. You made me laugh. We have an RC group come out to the field all the time. In fact, a lot of our work is done to the accompaniment(sp?) of the sounds of RC planes flying by and overhead. More than once I've sadly seen someone do the nosestand routine. Hopefully all that is damaged is a propellor.

Wolfenbil,
Oddly enough, my triplane is one of the few rc planes I have that because of the "tallish" gear and the relatively short (non-scale) flying prop, I just ended up with light scuff marks from the runway on the "front face" of the prop. That was different.
