This organization is seriously thinking about starting a new Dawn Patrol (WWI flying, antique autos, military re-enactors and so on).
I picked up on this from the Yahoo groups. A representative named "Dan" (didn't give last name) says,
"To assist WWI replica owners in attending, the museum should have funding for travel expenses, aircraft fuel, and lodging. If this were the case, would anyone be interested in attending a WWI fly-in this year and, if successful, an annual public event certainly to draw huge public crowds since it will be advertised in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs? That would be great if the WWI owners had a large airport where we could assemble planes for the public and promote GA and WWI replicas..."
