One step closer

Both of the DVII's at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome have been fitted with inverted Gyspy Queen engines. The one pictured here is closest to being done. The carbs and exhaust pipes have been redesigned and are now on. Some oil pump work, one bit of sheet metal engine cover, and a few minor engine linkages are all that is left before this one takes to the air.

Both?

There was a DVII in the Hanger without an engine and one being worked on with the Gypsy. The one being worked on had the lower engine bearers modified for the larger oil pan. did you guys modify the other one in the hanger for a gypsy too? I remember Roger saying that he used that DVII to deliver a L440 to California for the filming of The Aviator. I love Roger's place ... If I lived out there in TX, I'd be a volunteer too!
