E.V/ D VIIII and DR I aileron rigging

I am working on a 1/4 scale Fokker E.V/ D VIII and want to operate the ailerons in the approximate fashion as the full scale. I think it is basically the same as the Dr I also.

I believe it works as such, but want confirmation or correction:

Two cables are attached to each of 2 control arms that are part of the control torque tube which is operated by the stick. The cables from the left arm run upward through the right side of the fuselage into the right wing. From this point one cable runs to the lower control horn on the right aileron, the other cable runs to the upper control horn on the left aileron. The two cables from the right control arm run to the opposite aileron locations.

Is this correct?

Dale

DVIII Aileron

Hi,

According to Fokker the Creative Years. On the DVIII the Aileron had a pin welded to the steel tube. The pin was inserted into a bearing at each end. There was one strap hinge near the control horn. The only thing similar was the strap hinge and even that was the same style used on the DVII. I know of no one who has a definitive answer to the hinges used on the DVIII and the method. There are no photos to illustrate clearly what was actually done. The same method was used on the Fokker Universal which had captured ailerons or any Fokker design which did the same. No photos exist. Someone please prove me wrong.
