Who did tried to build a acurate Dr1 ??????????????????????
Who did look to get info for a authentic one , everybody takes Sands and Redfern
this wing drawings you talk about ,are not factory drawings .
Who did find in this forum original instruments ,engine ,guns ............
Who knows how many differend sets of drawings exist ?
Who knows the Bauman drawings ?
Who knows the Bourgets drawings ?
Who knows ...............

No, the replicas in the making (or made) are no jokes, but what I think the previous threads are saying is that there is no platonic form or blue print of "the perfect" Dr-I (and probably never was?).
A replica of the Brooklyn bridge would theoretically be "easier" to produce (and buying it practically even easier).

No original Dr.Is exist, no original plans are available to the general public unless franzkait knows something new and is willing to help, and all the reproduction/replica Dr.Is built so far have non-original features, materials or both. Anybody know anything different?
There is an original Fokker E.V/D.VIII fuselage at the Caproni museum and pieces of Dr.Is exist in museums and an original Dr.I data plate just surfaced, but that is about it.
I have some beautiful Rodney Gerard Dr.I fabric , but that is another story.
