where's all this sudden interest (and money?) coming from regarding "authentic" DR-1s? Is it enthusiasm based on the new MVR movie? Am I missing something? =-)

... if you think that is expensive with until you see the price of the rotary, guns, instruments .... etc. You are asking for a lot, the price comes with it.
You can save $$$$'s by building as much of the plane yourself as you can.
Money cannot be an issue then?

Valentin , I think you are asking in the wrong forum . Have a look at all the projects in this forum , how many guys have original Spanndaus or original engines, or better any engine ? How many have original drawings ? Can you see any project 100 % original ?

"I want to build 99,999999999999999999999% original Dr1" ......hmmmmmm, and yet the price for the rib set seems to put you off. Sorry to say that you are probably in for a lot of sticker shock in the future
Good luck with your project ! I would love to see it one day !

Valentin- One of the problems is there are no original Fokker Dr.I plans except for the wings, and even those are incomplete. To assemble a completely authentic replica, expect to spend years of time assembling all the original guages, LMG 08/15 MGs, a $20-30,000 Le Rhone (Oberursels very rare), an Axial prop reproduction and puzzling over various drawing sets trying to figure out which ones are correct. Either that or be prepared to throw cubic money at someone who knows what they are doing and is willing to take on the task.
There are no authentic replica, 99.xx% accurate Dr.I kits avaialable.
