Landing gear wing will be two part, due to maintenance and inspections.

So that's what you do with extra bits? Now I know what to do when I end up with leftover parts on my DIY furniture! =0)

Gypsy 70
Pavel, Jeff, et. al.
I would like to know more about the engine. Where does this come from? How old is it? What is its HP? How much does it weigh? What are its overall dimensions? What changes do you have make to it so that it will be aerobatic? How did you find it? How much did it cost? and finally where can I find one?
Would this be an inverted (uprighted) Gypsy 6?
With ulterior motives,

Pavel,
I notice that most of your frame is just tacted in place. What type of welding are you using? I assume you going to go back and finish up those welds. If so, won't the frame move around without being in a jig?
I have seen an original Fokker Rudder, and the tubes were also just tacked in place. I am told that if the small spot welds are strong enough, running a bead to seal the joint up is not necessary, and adds weight.
I am using Oxy-acetylene gas ... but I admit my beads are not that pretty.

Jeff
Every thing is tacted in palace with Mig. The later on is welded with TIG. The tack are very strong to hold in position, must be at least 3 for each connection. You are using gas which is different type of welding and slower as well. I have after welding take torch and take stress out from welds.
