this is a Gipsy Queen 70 ! for a Fokker D7 ? To convert this engine for a D7 is a nightmare . 380 hp ! this will be a very exciting D7 . Dream or reality ? It will cost over 20 000 to fix it up for a D7.

I spoke to Roger Freeman about a Gypsy engine for sale a few months ago on Barnstormers. He explained that if it had a gearbox on the front, it would be too long to fit in a DVII, and I shouldn't consider it. I called the seller and he wasn't sure which type Gypsy it was, but it came off a De Havilland Dove. I never got to see what it looked like. Franzkait, you say this is a Gipsy Queen 70? Does this Gypsy have a geared output shaft?

this is a 70 with a geared shaft and a blower in the back .It is not to long to fit a Fokker D7 , the Mercedes is 1.3 meter long with crankshaft 1.5 meter like this engine . The Gypsi 30 is better for a D7 , 250 HP and not so difficult like this one .

Yes its 70 mark.
This engine develop 200 hp at 2250 RPM on engine and 1600 RPM on propeller and boost at this RPM is 29 inch. This mean we can used a original size propeller. Try find mark 30 very hard. But on other hand there is lots of 70 marks from DH Dove. It is fuel injected.
