Rob,
Nice try, but if you are going to be in the airplane business, perhaps we should start with the difference between a Skybolt and a Starduster! I think I'm out of the fly-in thing for this year.
Andrew is the guy to talk to about networking. Also you should look at http://www.goldenageair.org/
as they are just up the road in Pa.

pixel, rob,
bill passed away a number of years ago. his son, willy might still be actively involved, however. last i spoke with willy, he was helping run hiller aviation museum in san carlos, ca sometime around 1999.
say hi to oshkosh for me! been there 12 different years between 1978 and 1991. i highly recommend you take a taxi while there and visit the oshkosh seaplane base - it's idyllic, peaceful and the stuff of aviation dreams. also, stop in at the burger and rootbeer drive-in, located between the lake and oshkosh. tell me if the waitresses there still deliver the orders to the cars on roller skates.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Army has better things for me to do than to go to Oshkosh this year... Rats! I may be able to make the last day or two, but the odds are not good. I was looking forward to meeting Buzzard & Jumpinjan and anyone else I could find from the Forum.
At any rate I wish the best to anyone who gets the chance to attend.

Kuwait... for a little while. Getting things tied up on this end before deploying is killing most of my summer plans.

For what it is worth, Machinbird will be at Oshkosh on the 28th and 29th. I'll RON at the dorms in Appleton. I'll be a little hard to contact, but perhaps we can work out a rendezvous. Jumpinjan, does that match your plans? Rob, if you do make it, give us a warning and I'll look for your N-number. Any other last minute additions to the Oshkosh attendee list?

My plans are to be there on the 24th, hopefully. One day at the event and two days on the road.

If I do make it I'll be in a PA32-260, blue stripes on white, N3665W, and will probably park in Vintage if there is any open spots.
