Von Writer,

thanks for this advise. I will check.

The problem is that the files immediately after they are imported into Pinacle Studio and vefore they are converted and saved to any file format have lost their sound.

Achim

Here is the movie clip, but still without any sound. In case I can figure out what the problem is I will upload another copy with the sound included and notify you all about it.

http://www.collectors-edition.de/Fok...nahmefarbe.ZIP

Let me know if it works.

The movie clip shows the few seconds of the acceptance run at full throttle and the acceptance run at idle.

Enjoy!

Achim

PS. I have now put together "Educational Movie No.3 - Ballancing of an Axial Airscrew and running of a Daimler D.III engine". The movie is about 14 Minutes long and will be released soon. So watch out for this. It shows much more of the entire event than the one you can download above.

Man Achim, that is Great! Kind of takes me back to when I started my DVIII the first time. It was a real high to stand there and listen to it running, was the the best part of the project up till the time I flew it. I was going to ask by the way if the plans for your axial airscrew could be scaled down without any problems? It looks like I'll be building a DVII at 90% scale. I wanted to do it full size but I don't have the work space for the 29' wing. 26 ft is just OK but 29 was not going to work ( So I'll be using a Chevrolet V6 or V8 and running it through a 2:1 redrive. I still want all the details to be as accurate as possable and am basicaly just taking 10% off the full size. I hope you don't mind me asking questions from time to time?
Regards;
Troy Wright

Von Writer,

feel free to ask questions at any time. I will respond to your questions the best way I can.

Technically it is no problem to scale the drawing for the Axial airscrew down, since I can provide it as a scanned .TIFF file format that can be printed full size at any scale.

As a matter of fact, I am presently using scaled down drawings of mine to make 1/2 scale propellers for two prototype models by Glenn Torrance.

I was very busy with Wulffo´s plane and airscrew lately and barely had a chance to get some things done on my own Fokker D.VII.

After Wulffo´s airscrew was finished I was trying to catch up a bit on my plane and started to make the seat for it. While doing so I shot some sequences of the making of the seat that will go into our "Educational Movie No.4 - Making of an Fokker Aluminum Shell Seat" which will show the way I did it.

Although I do useually not go to the workshop on sundays, I was there today and finished up the seat, put it into the seat frame and installed the whole thing into the fuselage.

Here are some images of it. Please excuse the poor quality, but the batteries have been low and I could not use the flashlight for this reason.

Enjoy!

Achim

The German Museum at Munich owns an LMG 08/15! Here´s a picture I took about two years ago.

Hello Travel-Air,

Your photo looks like a 08 not a 08/15. You may want to checkout www.mg0815.com.

Check this out franzkait:

LMG means NOT
"Luft Maschinen Gewehr". Thats the wrong description I think.

I´m not sure but I guess it´s either the shortcut of "Luftgekühltes Maschinen Gewehr" (air cooled machine gun) or "Leichtes Maschinen Gewehr" (light machine gun)

Guess Wulffo knows the right description
