New Mercedes/Hisso engine repro for sale

Gentlemen (and ladies?)

IF you need a Mercedes or Hisso, and want to actually replicate your original's performance and save yourself years in work, here is your chance!

This motor is the result of fifteen years of research, and is now offered for sale at the end of a highly successful test program. This is the same idea Troy Wright has successfully built and run, and is offered firewall forward!!

Specially modified, brand new six cylinder Chevy .292 truck engine, Built up by top NASCAR engine builder to replicate the performance of either engine. Using a 2.85 redrive it has spun an exact BMW200hp repro prop at 1400 (pictured) and now is set up with the bulletproof RWS 2.17 redrive (pictured) to spin a beautiful Hisso 180 reprop prop (pictured), or a Merce 170 prop. Engine never tops 2500!! Complete, running and on a test stand/trailer, firewall forward. has about 15 hrs running time. Also includes an $1800 custom prop hub. This is the same concept which has flown the Vimy all around the world for years, and is the only way to spin the correct prop at the correct speed without the expense and trouble of an original. A ranger or Gypsy simply cannot spin these props, hence the peformance is not original. I also have a beautiful Hisso prop repro.

This is not a fly by night deal, but the result of years of research, and is a proven concept. It RUNS reliably and SPINS the original props, and isn't revving madly, so please save the "it won't work" comments, I've heard them, yet my engine is happily spinning away!!

Couldn't figure out how to get my images here but email or call me and I'll send them along.

This entire project, firewall forward is offered for $10,000 (I have over $15,000 invested) serious inquiries only, located near Cincinnati.

Is this just a single engine or are you selling the research data too?

merc/hisso repro

Hi,

I would certainly provide you with my research data. I have the dyno readout which I did on the stock motor before we did extensive head work.

Anyone else reading this, for some reason, the forum is very slow on my computer (dial up) so it's hard for me to ck it often. If you're need info, please email me directly or just call

Thanks

Dow

Douwe,

It looks very promising. I have already purchased a GQ30, so I am not in need of a powerplant at the moment. If you can, I would love to see as much data as you would care to provide on your development and the general trials and tribulations of getting to where you are now.

You say you have 15 hrs of run time on one engine, have you flown with it or has it been only on the ground?

Good luck with it.

Phil
