Congratulations. Absolutely awesome. The sound of that Rotary is music to the ears. Brilliant.

Thumbs up

Awesome ... just awesome! Thanks for sharing and using a rotary.

At the end of the video your brave pilot was talking about her flight handling characteristics. Would it be possible to post an in-flight report on her, how she handles and her quirks and so-on?

Would be interesting to read.

Great job guys!

Awesome is indeed the best word to describe it.

That brave pilot

That brave pilot would be Roger Freeman. Hoodo, you mentioned something about the tail feathers of Hippert's plane? Whats up with that?

That is just over the top! Nice landing too! I'm going to have to convince Jeff to take me on his next trip down.

Wonderful news! As several others have noted, it's very encouraging to see such a handsome replica flying with an original engine. Congratulations, and keep up the great work.

Bruno,

You have some great stuff there too. Nice selection of different a/c. I especially liked the Morane.

Buck:
Actually nothing regarding Hipperts (your plane). My Bad.
The final answer came in another thread but it wasn't regarding
Hippert's but Hantleman's (Death's Head) DVII. I should be more careful with my writing. I was writing and not thinking, a common sin of mine. On Hantleman's DVII the top of the tail plane was apparently a thin blue but the bottom was left in Lozenge. I apologize.
I am curious now about the bottom of the Hantleman DVII we have in the hangar. I (and others) where moving it around in the hangar so we could move some of the Model T's out for inspection, but I never leaned over to look at the bottom of the tailplane to see if the Museum volunteers painted it blue or left it Lozenge.
