Laserloyd, The quote I have is for either waterjet, or laser. Not sure what kind of laser the company has. They specialize in steel rule dies. Is there a difference in cut quality and material integrity, Nitrogen vs Oxygen?
Please make cutting with water jet. This process do not need a heatreding after cutting.

Hi Pavel, Got you in for one. I may go with the waterjet, but since these are non structural, and under low stress it may not be that important.

I used laser cut fittings on the Curtiss pusher project and didn't have any problems bending, welding or painting them.

Thanks for get me one.
The problem is in surface cracks, just one bent of metal and crack will aper in surface of the cut.
Its fine with me if you do laser cut, I will take torch and hatred down.

Just picked up the parts for the Quadrants from the vendor. I had them waterjet cut, so no worry about heat affected edges.

Now I need to do a little mill work on the Mixture backplate, and get the Plackards engraved. Plus a few small parts to get together, then I can start shipping. Got a couple of hot jobs in the shop right now to get out then will work on these.

Just got a sample placard from the engraver. He said it might be another 1 -2 weeks before they are done.

Update

Sorry for the delay on these. Waiting on the engraver to finish the placards. Here is a picture of the kit with out the placard.

At Jeff's suggestion I drilled the rivet holes and formed the V in the spring steel piece that rides in the grooves on the mixture control. It was easier for me to do it than try to write understandable instructions on how too.

Ready To Ship!!!!

Wouldn't you just know it. Right after I posted the above message I got a call from the engraver that the placards are done! If all that asked for quadrants would PM me with their mailing info I'll work up shipping costs for you.

Thanks for your patience.

Here is one complete kit without bending. Note directions in upper right corner.
