Jeff and Vet,
Of course, count me in for one too! Perhaps even assembled?

Vet,
Those throttle quadrants look great. If you decide to do a set to the Dr I style I would like one and I know of a few other takers.
I dont have any drawings but I think they were similar to this DVIII quadrant of Achims.

Had not planned to do the Dr 1 style, but if there was enough interest I might. If your planning on using a modern engine this quadrant may be a better choice. Not truly accurate for a Rotary powered Tripe, but if your engine has a mixture control, this gives you that, and with the appearance of the proper style to be in a WWI plane.

I'm going with it. Let's call it a "1918 field modification".

Vet,
It was great to meet up on the weekend and thanks for the throttle sets. I don't know which is better the actual assembly or your very detailed assembly instructions!
Any plans for a rivet and bolt kit?
Regards,
John

John,
Good to see both you and Ed at the show. You folks put on a fine performance, as usual.
No plans for a hardware kit, some people want to use authentic metric bolts, and others wanted to use standard AN hardware. Thought it best to let the individuals detail it out the way they want.

Vet,
As you can see from my recent postings on the DR-1 Sands site, I love my quadrant. Thanks so much for taking some of these detailed projects on and providing them to us for purchase. Here's a question for everyone- how do you paint the inscribed plate one color and the inscribed letters another? Seems like you would rub color into the letter area, and then use a very smooth and flat roller with a thinned paint to paint the plate. I wasn't able to figure this out and I know this is a really detailed question, but you never know who knows! I was even wodering about using 2 different solvent based paints whereby one would simply bead up on the other and be easily removeable.
Many thanks again,
Jim

Jim,
I understand the text is raised? In that case just paint the whole thing in black and let it dry then sand it on a flat surface to clear the paint from the text. And if you like the text to have a second color ad it with a hard rubber roller afterwards. I've done some id plates for our Mustang first painted them black and after drying I painted the lowerd text with a thin white and whiped of the acces quickly with a clean rag folded to get a sort of cussion.

That is one fine looking piece of work.
perhaps one of you folks could assist me on something. I'm programming parts for my virtual DVII and need to know specifically what the Large lever does and the small lever does on the throttle quad.
cheers
Randy
