Question Sachsenberg's DVII pics

Greetings:

Would anyone happen to know where I could find a few more pics of Ltn.z.See Gothard Sachsenberg' s plane? I have only been able to find two, one of him beside his craft with his German Shepard, and the other with his plane in the background and a D-8 in the foreground.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dear Kaun,

You're lucky to have found those!

These things don't just grow on trees, you know.

You can find one more shot in Fokker D.VII Anthology 3 from Ray Rimell's Albatros Productions, 2002. It's a shot of the nose with several fellows posing in front of it. It doesn't reveal much more, but there it is.

If you find others, let me know!!

Greg

Here is a link I got from The Great War forum:

If you take the following link it will give you a great preview of the book "Fokker D VII Aces of World War 1", written by Norman Franks, with quite a few pages and photos on Gothard Sachsenberg.

Steve

Hope it helps. Also see my post under "People".

Wink Sachsenberg's DVII pics

Greetings Everyone:

Thank you for your replies. Looks like I may have two more books to buy yet, LOL. I am most concerned with pics of Gothard's yellow and black checkered DVII, as my daughters and I are building a reproduction craft and plane to use his paint scheme.
As a side note, I could not get the link from Breguet to work correctly.

Thanks

If you enter "ww1 pilot gotthard" into a Google search, the link will be the first one displayed

Hi All,

Er, Breguet, I don't mean to be immodest, but, quote: "..the book, Fokker D VII Aces of World War I, written by Norman Franks.."

There was another co-author to that book.

And to be precise, you should search for Fokker D VII Aces of World War 1, Part Two.

Part One had nothing on Sachsenberg.

Try This:

Osprey Publishing - Fokker D VII Aces of World War 1

The Osprey website has some nice "previews" of the book too.

Sachsenberg's DVII pics

Greetings:

Thank you for the info on the Fokker D VII Aces book, I had no idea there was a part one and a part two. Glad to know that before I ordered the wrong one, LOL.
