Wright Flyer 1908 ready for take off

fotos from today , first time in the air , for the centennial in Le Mans . Engine runns very good , aircraft is build like the original , ready to fly .

That's really nice. I can appreciate all the hard work that went into it.
I'm not going to make the LeMans celebration. I wish I could.
(2009 will be the centennial of the first warplane acquisition. I would think WPAFB, OH would be the center point of that celebration)

This picture cries out for a caption

Such as;

"Le Mans approach, Wright 1908 reporting Church intersection, unable ATIS, say local altimeter setting."

10th-11th july 2008 , centenial in the Abbey Epau in Le Mans . Wilbur Wright did fly in Le Mans in 1908 the first time in Europa . Abbey Epau , 13th centuri , a fantastic place for this centanial . Over 1000 internatinal guest .

Very nice Udo! The airplane appears to be inside a cathedral. Is this correct? This seems like an unusual place for such a display.

Hi Udo,
Is this the chapel your plane is in? Will it be flown during this event? I hope you have taken many more photos inside the chapel because it such an unusual place to see an airplane.
