Deperdussin 1913 plans

Hello,
I'm looking for blueprints/plans for an accurate replica Deperdussin 1913 monocoque. I'd prefer all original designs and construction methods, but anything will be useful. Should be a fun project, I'll be sure to make a nice build log when I get started.

Thanks,
Ed

Have you tried the WWI Aero folks?

This link will get you to their website: http://www.worldwar1aeroplanesinc.org/

Good luck! Can't wait to see the pictures...

I have a set that Ellic Somer gave me. They do not have airfoil coordinates though. I'll dig them out in the next few days and make a copy if you are interested.
Pete

somewhere here I posted a bunch of photos I took at the San Diego museum. Let me know if you cannot find them or are interested in them.

Thanks for the replys,

I'd be very interested in the plans and pictures you have Butch. I'll try the WW1 aero folks too. I'm trying to gather any info I can on this bird, there doesn't seem to be too much...

Not knowing what a Deperdussin was, I had to go find one to see...... a fine looking machine.

I hope to see more varied WWI aircraft attempted and built. Good luck with this Ed.

Hello Ed,

I thinck that you can try the Musée de l'air et de l'espace in Le Bourget (Paris).
they have a Deperdussin Monocoque in display
Photos> Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace
and they have a huge collection of documentation including aircraft plans of course.

Good luck,

Laurent.

Deperdussin

Cole Palen scratch-built a Type A Deperdussin. May still be on display at Old Rhinebeck Aerrodrome. See:

Wonder why Cole never flew her? To hairy even for him with wing warping?

Can not imagine that with a twin 160HP rotary up front! She is still sitting in the museum up on the hill.

Deperdussin 1913

There is an excellent original example in the museum at Le Bourget airport in Paris.

It is small, lean and mean and looks like it would be a handfull in any phase of flight.
