I talked to Roger yesterday

Roger said he was packing the spad up yesterday for transit. Not to hijack the thread but he said the revised prop for my gypsy queen showed up on wed. and monday morning they are going to fire it up.

That's wonderful work! I wonder how well it flies.

All that lovely woodwork. The French did a nice job designing that one.

Ricardo,

Thanks for posting the link. I hadn't seen any pictures of the progress in quite a while. It's a beautiful plane.

Does anyone care to credit Bill Retzlaff (our Spadmaker, banned by eric the goop) for the lion's share of the woodwork. I would be terribly embarrassed to take credit for another man's work.

Thanks for posting this beautiful SPAD replica. May I inquire who bought the airplane and where it will be based?? Will it be flown for show at events?? I'd absolutely love to see it at the upcoming Dawn Patrol Rendezvous 2009?? Dare we hope for this?? Again my gratitude for the photo show. Cheers; Garry F.

Wow, that's just stunning. What a magnificent aeroplane. That really sets a very high standard to aim for.

Thanks Ricardo for posting

I just know what is on the flickr page. Jim Landon will surely know more about it and, more than anyone, Roger. Sorry not to be more helpful.

Roger sent me more pics but....

Roger sent me some more pics of the spad. They are about 250 k apiece. How do I get them smaller to post?

Great pictures. I can't imagine the time and effort required for this project. Good news is he will be spending his time working on my Gypsy queen now. Roger doesn't visit the site but said it was o.k. for me to post.
He did say that Javier is working on building LeRhones.
