Sorry no leads on prop to measure but if you look here you will find the info you need on diameter and pitch.

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP562.PDF

part 11 leaflet 39 will give you the dia and pitch info.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but my prop is 97" long. I don't know the pitch right now nor the weight. Would the added length alone limit the static rpm vs a 6.5' to 7' prop?

In a word, Yes. But If the propeller pitch stays the same the power to increase the rpm increases steeply. If the pitch is decreased with diameter you can turn a longer prop with the given power but your speed suffers. My 96" long by 87 pitch prop took aprox. 30% more power to go from 1250 to 1350 rpm static. So you need to measure the pitch on your prop. There are books explaining how this is done. I'd tell you but I'm not up to speed on it myself.

Yeah, I'm sure the pitch is measured at the 70% station of the blade, like what they say in the document at the link.

wooden prop web site

This is an interesting web site, and has a forum that is used by prop collectors all over the world. If there is a prop that you may need measurements for in the future, someone there may be of help.
Cheers.

Slingsby T.56 SE5 Replicas.

Does anybody have any current information on the Slingsby T.56 Replicas EI-ARH to EI-ARM, exported to the Fighting Air Command Museum in 1985.

I notice that EI-ARH and EI-ARM are still currently registered on the official Irish Civil aircraft Register to a Mr Lynn Garrison, Dublin 8 !!!

Hi Speedman.

May i ask why your interest in the Mini's??

I have been trying to find them for years. Lynn still owns those to but has lost them, they were on loan to Frank Tallman when he was killed and they dissapered!! Lynn is tied up with more pressing matters at the moment but im sure Patrick will reply in time.

I do have a possible lead on one of the 6 but as of yet it is not confermed as one of the Sligsby built A/C!

Hello Speedman.
Please, if you have a moment, elaborate on your interests in these aircraft. We may be able to exchange some information. You are quite correct on the registry information.

I believe there was one, possibly two near me. One was up for sale 2 years back at Dart Field in Mayville New York. The owner claimed it was one of the Blue Max planes. Needed a recover and engine when I saw it.
