FE2b in public at Hood Aerodrome, NZ

Hi All,

as mentioned in my post about the Junkers J1 - the airshow at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, NZ went off in spite of dull weather and marginal wind conditions. Where else can you see flying: an Avro 504, a Nieuport-Macchi 11, 3 SE5As, 3 Fokker Triplanes, a Fokker DVII (Alb), a Sopwith Camel, a BE2f, a Pfalz D3, a Bristol Fighter and the star of the show - Vintage Aviator Ltd's FE2B. Absolute heaven. Looks like another to come soon plus some more new 'surprises' in November.

Cheers,

GrahamB

It was a total blast!

The Fee is strangely beautiful to behold and much bigger than I had expected. The commentator said she handles like a sheep truck. Definitely the star of the show, but I also loved the BE2f - so sluggish and weak, real Fokker Fodder.

Here is a link to some photos I took:

Thanks

Spectacular photos Jamo,

I would have cried if I had been there.

From what I've read, the FE was considered a match, or better, for the Fokker E.III.
