Split pins lock the "pivot-bolts"....Note the Angles of pulleys to eachother.

Hi there Tengew ,thanks for that. These are all the bits that the eye skips over when looking at the bigger picture , nice to have a bit of feedback , it's difficult to know how much detail to put on the thread. Regards..John.

This bracket clamps arround the tailboom / outriggers (over the 20swg dural "splinter protectors" ), just aft of the upper wing trailing edge...It is braced to the wing rear spar top at the next outboard strut location by the wireing lug shown.....A steel spindle screwed into it is locked by a pin and the twin ball-bearing pulleys within dural casings are carried on it.....Thus , the elevator controle cables are kept clear of the airscrew....The loads caused by the change in direction of the cables accumplished by the pulleys is taken by the afore mentioned bracing wire......Farther back , where the lower cables pass under the tailplane , "jockey" pulleys are employed to maintain clearance to the latter....JM

In addition to clamping, Bracket is bolted thru' outrigger by 2BA bolts. to secure.
