I'm still somewhat of a " learner " with respect to computers , compared to most of you on the forum , having only comparatively recently joined the digital world ...Some good advice here ,..Will be in touch .

Hello John,

I'd like to add to the plaudits by mentioning I popped down to Hendon a few days ago and the FE was absolutely amazing. I didn't realise it was your work until I came across this thread today but at the time stood there for a good 1/2 hour admiring the engineering. Reviewing the photos I took I can now see your name on the FE's info board. Fantastic stuff but such a shame the museum have such a fine piece of workmanship in near darkness

Andy

Hi Andy ...Glad you liked it . I fought long and hard in the final barganing stage of the hand over contract , to get my name mentioned on the plaque . This was eventually very grudgingly conceeded and became a legal ,binding part of the contract . ;
It had been a point on which the director Fopp had always been most adament about , in NOT giving the name of the builder ......Hence , you may have noticed ,;on the BE2b ,( which stands beside the FE2b) and which I also built ( see "My Be2b Reproduction " thread )....My name is NOT mentioned AT ALL on THIS plaque , it stating only .." a Contractor ".......

Regards John

Had my lecture cancelled today so went over to Hendon to kill a couple of hours - good to see the interactive display board is now working by the Fee and they've put the article by yourself about the construction of it on there
