Hi John,
Have been meaning to go for a while and see Andrew’s BE2a project and have a good natter.
Unfortunately the weather had other ideas, plan B is to try again next week.

FE2b.....Metalwork Fittings.

Starting at the back, ( where else ! ) . These are the main metal work parts that I got arround to photoghaphing....I have only recently gone digital....All the bits are (aircraft spec S510 ) mild steel sheet & MS bar etc,. as specified on the drawings. I use Oxy/accetelene welding.....a lot of parts like the Front Outrigger (tailboom ) Socket/lugs are machined out of solid bar , 3" dia. in this case !....Ferrules are sheet , roller and welded...JM

The 4 Ferrules...20swg (.036" ) mild steel...tight fit on outrigger (tailbooms )
