Try Jim Kiger from Replicraft.

Bob.
Have been through all my Standard Sopwith Parts plans and none of those SL fittings are amongst them.
Good luck finding the main petrol tank one, would love to get that one too but don't think a copy exists. I used Jim Kiger's plans for the tank dimensions.
Sorry couldn't be of help.

Cheers, Nick

Cheer's Willem & Nick
I have a large number of drawings from Replicraft as well as the re-drawn set, I also have a lot of drawings that were copied directly from the originals, there is a drawing for SL 126 on the redrawn replicraft set but I had hoped to get hold of a copy of an original drawing.
I have had a look through many original Sopwith drawings but as yet I have not been able to find the ones for the early tank, I did find a couple of drawings for what might be the early fin & rudder but there are no drawing numbers on them, so I don't know if they are the right ones, I hope to have copies of these drawings soon & will see how well they match up to photo's etc.

Sopwith SL drawings

Hi Bob ....You could try the Northern Aeroplane Workshops ( or Shuttleworth ) ....About 25 /30 years ago at one of the last held Sopwith Symposiums , there was an oldish chap there who had what was supposed to be , a complete set of the SL fittings / clips Drgs..(believe they originated from "Up North " somewhere ).
I didn't see them myself , but they might have been donated to the NAW or Shuttleworth , as I thought that this was the plan at the time ....Unless of course , " someone " got in first with offer of a big wad of cash ?

You'll be very lucky to ever find ALL the drawings of any WWI aircraft ,..But if you wait till then to start building , you'll be too old to ever build it !
There's always going to be some back engineering required somewhere along the line .

What's the state of progress on your proposed Snipe project ?..What motor will you use ?

Regards John

Hi John
I have asked at Shuttleworth & they are looking into it for me, but they are quite busy at the moment, I will call in & see the guy's at NAW, they don't live too far from me & it's a good excuse to have another look at their Camel, I obtained some SL drawings from another source, they were amongst quite a few original drawings for the Camel & had been drawn for one of the subcontractors.
I am procceeding slowly with the Snipe would be the best way to put it, I have most of the drawings I need & have made a few small bits & pieces, I took some T45 down to Retrotech & had it re-rolled to 1" square for the sternpost vee's, I hope to pick up my seat before the end of the week, this has been made by a cane furniture maker who lives about 15 miles up the road from me, he has made a seat for an SE5a repro in the past so it is nothing new to him, I am still looking for someone to make some of the more complicated parts at a reasonable price, but can get on with other things in the meantime.
As for an engine I guess I will have to go the static radial route as I doubt if I will get hold of another Bentley.
Cheer's.
Bob.
