Any Landing you can walk away from is a good landing, BUT a truly Great landing, is one in which you can immediately re-use the airplane!

US95 Damiani,
are there any kind of gap seals on the Pup? I have not seen what looks like them on any photos I have seen, but that is not an area that anyone seems to photograph.
If not, are you thinking of putting some (limited ones) similar to the Dr.1 on anyway?

Pups everywhere !
Gents,
The work you're doing is looking superb, and I'm sure your Pup will turn out beautifully.
If it helps, there are some pictures of our Pup, which is progressing much more slowly than yours at: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
This is an original production Pup (Standard Motor Co. 1917), and is causing us real problems, as it only matches plans very vaguely . . but we're getting there
Well done to you all.
All the best,

Do you have any pictures of shaping the struts?

Absolutely Stunning Nick!
Beautiful! do you have any photos of the aileron hinges? If I had my druthers our airplane would be wood as opposed to steel tube, and Have a nice 80 LeRhone on the nose like yours! but Beggars can't be choosers!
Hey Pete,
Unfortunately I never got a chance to take any. I was making cables while Gerry was building the struts... He pre formed them to a rough airfoil with a Jig and a router, then final shaped with the band saw and a belt sander.
With regard to Gap seals, if any we will probably use fabric for the Gaps. the hinges are arranged in such a way that Fokker type aileron Gap seals will not work. We may try to adapt fabric gap seals.
At any rate
Until the next installment
Be true to the cause Gents and keep up the good work!
