These photos of the taxi test are awe inspiring, but for goodness sakes -- someone fix the pilot's helmet. He's a Sopwith pilot, not some homeboy from the 'hood
Ahhh... you know he's go the side panels up so he can hear the cheers from the peanut gallery. Once he gets moving, the flaps are down, the fighter pilot scowl shows up and there's NO SCARF....

Through the magic of Photoshop, we edited out the little propeller beenie on his helmet though (or maybe we'll just edit one it....)

Looks Great!! The Panel really looks the part. It would be nice to have you describe each of the instruments and what you did to acquire them and what compromises you made.

I'll second that, it's interesting to hear how other builders aquire parts.

I have to be totally honest, all of the credit for the instruments goes to Mike Cilurso and Paul D. They did all of the legwork collecting these instruments over a period of years from various sources. They picked them up when and where they saw them.

Hi Guys,

For those interested in the instruments used in this Sopwith Pup, I have the same original tachometer, altimeter, and clock (all in excellent condition) that I will consider selling together as a group. If interested, let me know:

I'm sure I'm being a pest... but I would enjoy details on the instruments.. like manufacturer and such... postwar vs wartime, etc...

I would be enjoyable to understand how you picked out what you did... what was right, what was close enough, what was a complete compromise..
