Hi All,

just a few images from yesterday - although Jamo has done the business already.

I quite liked the comment by a TVAL representative yesterday, in talking about the FE2B, SE5s etc, that they were 'late-build originals', rather than 'reproductions' because that is exactly what they are (assuming original engine type too).

Cheers

GrahamB

Hood non-flying day

Hi,

some more (I seem to be doubling the images posted - can only manage 3 for some reason).

The plywood on the Albatros was superb. At a distance the honey-coloured wood showed scarcely any grain - just the panels' slight differences in hue and tone. The lines of nail heads were quite visible though - something for modellers to consider. In contrast, the wood on the Camel's forward fuselage does show a strong grain (perhaps because of the dark stain used?).

Thanks for posting all these images GrahamB ! It's great to see another Albatros on the go. Hopefully we will see more images of these great machines soon.
