Yes, the old "Klingstrom" device. Twenty years ago I called it that as this was all I knew. Udo Jorges was over on a visit and asked me what was this Klingstrom name, it was not a German word or name and made no sense. I looked at some of the cast fixed bronze arm pieceson the guns and most had lettering struck into them. One was very clean and crisp and he told me to really look at it and tell him what it said...exactly. It was easy to see it was stamped "C.LINDSTROM", and he said immediately, yes, Lindstrom is for sure a German name, and this must be the company who made these pieces. This "C.LINDSTROM", as I recall, is only present on the fixed arm bronze cast pieces. The piece is really a Kurbellagerbock or Segenhebel. Various forms carried various marks, such as "FWF" for Fokker Waffen Fabrik or "D.R.P.A." for Deutches Reichs Patent Authority. The one drawing you posted showed the "high handle" with the gear teeth, used for recharging the gun, and it was termed a Durchladehebel.
So, saying "Lindstrom" device instead of "Klingstrom" is for sure correct, but still a bit too inclusive, as it is not the name for the device, just the manufacturer. It's just the same as what happened with the German LMG Maxim guns being termed as Spandau guns as this was always the name allied soldiers saw on the top of the German aircraft guns, even though it was simply the name of the arsenal manufacturer...and the name stuck. I guess as long as what you say conveys the meaning, no harm, no foul. Nobody likes a stickler!
Spandaus with Lindstrom devices is easier to say than German Maxim LMG 08/15 guns with Segenhebel or Durchladehebel devices!
Very best and Merry Christmas!

Thanks a million Dave. Further measuring and reasearch leads me to believe (assume) [ dangerous at times to do that] the gear is 14.5 degrees pessure angle and 3" pitch diameter with 36 teeth if it were a full gear. I will be posting updated solid model over the weekend, I hope.
Best Regards and Merry Christmas to all,
Tony
