Mother Russia and I reside in the Great State of South Western, by God, Pennsylvania along with our cat Rasputin and our dog Kalinka. Guess who names the animals around here.

The Soviet of Washington. Greatest state in the onion for law enforcement. It only took 20 years to arrest the Green River killer (47 murders, give or take, and the worst mass murder of all time) when they knew that he was guilty at the beginning. Go finger that one out.

I'm a proud citizen of the Republic of Texas. (As opposed to the People's Republic of California!) *;D

Er, pardon me, Sir, but it's the People's DEMOCRATIC Republic of Kalifornia, where you can get a concealed permit IF you are a heavy contributor to the Democratic party, or a high ranking party member.
(Hmm, now where have I heard THAT kind of preferential treatment before?)

As to where I spent the most time, my parents decided on Joisey, so that's out of my control.
As for the Green River guy, I have to defend my newly adopted state. If they had DNA technology 20 years ago, they would have nailed the m/f. At least they did get him.
Now, having flown above the Puget Sound area at 1,200 ft, I can honestly say that any person from another state who claims that he's in "God's Country" is obviously allied with the wrong deity.

Hey! No chest-thumping in my thread please. *>

Huh? That's the only reason I showed up.

Indiana has the second-best concealed carry law in the union, second only to Vermont (the only state with a lawful, constitutional carry law).
There will never be concentration camps in America.
We'll call them something else.

Uhhh... actually, New Hampshire's permit process appears cheaper and easier than Indiana. It costs me $10.00 every 4 years, no fingerprints or photos. Fill out a 1 page application with you name, address, SS#, DOB, and three personal references. Two weeks later, pick up your permit.

Hmmmm...maybe we can establish a balkanized version of the USA like Germany was before unification: Vermont enclaves scattered about the map without the tedium of adjoining borders.
Wayne: as for secession, just 'cause they don't say you can't do it doesn't mean you cannot. However, "They" tend to get cranky whenever anyone attempts to exit. Much like the IRA (or the USSR): "Once in, never out."
You will not rise to the occasion: You will default to your level of training.

OK, so far we have:

New Hampshire
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina

That's 14, I know we have more states represented here than that, keep 'em coming!

You left out Virginia, or aren't permanent residents included?

Well, I was shooting for US residents and where they live, not just where people spend their time. How much time do you spend in the states? If you spend more than 182 1/2 days of the year in the US, I'll count Virginia!
