Hi Guys!
(this is the same question as in the "Airplanes" section, but it maybe fits better here).
Me again, and again a bit controversial topic - in fact the same as always - interpreatation of the b&w photos.
I mean the A-H hex painting scheme (Tarnstoff). O'Connor, in his wonderfull articles, wrote about it as a somewhat "fixed" scheme, with fixed colours. The same did Glen Merrill from the Americal/Gryphon decal company.
But looking on the photos, I see at least two variations - one is like O'Connor wrote, mix of the darker and lighter patterns. Like here:

But there is a second variant, without that "dark" pattern:

What do you think? Maybe one photo is ortho-, and the other is panchromatic?
And what do you think about the Americal/Gryphon decals? Aren't they a bit too dark? Can somebody chec them with the Methuen Book?
