Dear Al:

A double dose of metameucil should make you feel a lot better. But, you are right. Germany did lie. We shot down twice as many as we claimed with half of our reported losses.

Happy New Year

Actually, I figured that Germany lost twice as many as they said, and shot down half as many as they claimed.

Makes a lot more sense to me.

Metamucil not needed by the way.

VBR,

Al Lowe

What are the figures this web site posts as concerns Allie vs Central Powers losses? They don't list Italian, American, or Russian losses.
The Germans should have made their claims as did the British. One victory for every fly swatted in the officers latrine.

Glad to hear you don't need the meatmeucil from the tenor of your message I had deduced that you did.

Balkankreuz, obviously, you're speaking from personal experience.

Scott: Sorry, but I had to.

Careful BK! He's been known to get surly at times and might even do something rash. Welcome to the club!

You and the anonymous Balkanscrewed should check out my new years resolution before you go any further.

For the benefit of some here is the message Scott posted about 2 weeks ago, concerning Forum Dogfights.

Scott Hamilton said in another thread...
" "Red sky at morning, sailors take warning..." Don't burn me out folks, The Aerodrome is just my hobby, not a career. As the number of visitors to The Aerodrome increases, it is becoming apparant that a small but growing number of "forumites" seem not to realize that The Aerodrome Forum was created for the purpose of promoting the free exchange of information, opinions and ideas specifically related to the aces and aircraft of World War I. Save the arcane topics for some other site. Visiting the forum should be a pleasant experience, not the second battle of Ypres. Messages containing profanity and/or name calling will always be censored or removed from the forum. If you are particularly offended by someone's opinions or beliefs: don't read their messages! It's just as simple as that."

Take note, I do not normally resort to similar tactics, but in line with my new years resolution, I will respond to personal attacks. And a "suggestion" that I need metamucil IS a personal attack.

I will also not hesitate to suggest to Scott that he institute a "members' only" rule that we have talked about privately. (Scott, sorry if I shouldn't have said anything, but this is still getting out of control, and I refuse to leave the forum unless asked by YOU, Scott, to do so.)

VBR to almost everyone,

Al Lowe

Let's just say, that I don't see any humour in what Balkankreuz said. And let it go at that.

VBR,

Al Lowe

My last reply was to Balkankreuz and contained no mention of the word Metamucil.

That you don't respond to implied personal attacks just makes me think all the greater of you.

One last thing, I do believe you spelled Balkankreuz incorrectly in your replies of 20:59,
21:15, 21:18. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume its a typo.

VBR,

FokkDR1

P.S.- I won't even tell Scott!
