ADJ Marinovitch SPA94 MAY 15, 1918

On this date Marinovitch brought down a German two-seater (identified as a long-range "Rumpler" in French lines at Esserteaux (Essertaux?), South of Amiens. He obtains the observer's machine gun as a souvenir.

On this date a German two-seater of FA245(A) falls at "Faloyse-a-Noye", Abancourt according to German records. The crew Flg Hermann Stallmann and LtdR Martin Guenther are KIA. Another location is Andechy (SE of Amiens) and "Falvise a Nuve"? (both from the excellent "Frontflieger" site.)

Abancourt is south west of Amiens. Flers-sur-Noye is 1.2km south of Essertaux. Is "Faloyse-a-Noye" a corruption of the French name?

FASWC lists "probably Lt von Bulow and Lt Fricke". I have no idea who these officers were. They are not listed in CGAS.

Any suggestions, chaps?

Keith
